FAQ
Questions before you enquire
A few things couples and planners usually ask — about safety, weather, travel, and how booking works.
Yes — Buttercup and Snowy are miniature Highland boys chosen and handled for calm guest interaction. A trained handler stays with them for the full visit, manages greetings, and keeps things gentle around children and formal wear. That said, they are live animals: we recommend closed-toe shoes for anyone getting close, and we'll brief your bridal party on soft approaches.
[EDIT — fill in once confirmed] We carry public liability insurance suitable for event appearances. Full certificate details and coverage amounts will be confirmed with your booking.
[EDIT once finalized] Light rain can often still work with shelter and a sensible setup. Severe weather, extreme heat, or unsafe conditions may mean we reschedule or adjust the visit for the cows' welfare. We'll stay in touch as your date approaches and agree a fair plan if the forecast turns.
Our standard service areas are the Yarra Valley, Macedon Ranges, and Daylesford regions. [EDIT] Venues beyond our standard radius may attract a travel fee — share your location in the enquiry form and we'll confirm.
[EDIT — refine with exact footprint] We need a flat, accessible outdoor area with room for the cows and a small setup zone, plus vehicle access nearby. Soft ground, shade options, and a quiet corner away from loud speakers help everyone stay comfortable. We'll confirm suitability when you share venue details.
[EDIT once finalized] After we confirm availability, we'll send a booking agreement and request a deposit to secure your date. The balance is due before the event — exact timelines and amounts will be listed in your booking terms.
Wedding weekends in peak season fill early. We recommend enquiring as soon as your venue and date are locked — ideally several months ahead. Midweek and off-peak dates can sometimes be arranged with shorter notice; send us a message and we'll check.
